A WARM WELCOME TO PERRIAM & PARTNERS

The first thing you need to know about us is that we are really good at our job, the second is that this website is updated weekly, yes weekly, and the third, it's you, the client, the very reason why we come to work, to support you.

"With our passion and purpose you will profit." As the Ace above suggests ... we just love what we do!

BIGGER BEANS & BETTER RESULTS AWAIT

Everything we do is targeted at making your accounting easier by condensing bundles of information into simple strategies to get you ahead.

But getting ahead and reaching your financial ambitions can't be achieved by just doing your end accounts and tax returns, touching base with you frequently or getting together regularly will.

We will surprise you with what we know and what advice and ideas we can offer.

Have a listen to our team song ...

WEEKLY UPDATE ... 19 FEBRUARY 2018

It was a tough week for Fletcher Building last week but the Chairman fronted up and resigned, it is however the Shareholders that really suffer.  Let that be a lesson to all in business, biggest is not always best.

A four day working week - could you do your traditional 5 days in 4?

It's hard to believe that Super Rugby is about to kick into gear this Friday here in Christchurch, Crusaders v Chiefs. Given our recent weather the game might be played on the beach. Don't you hate Winter sport encroaching on our Summer?

Trucking accidents now make up nearly 25% of all road deaths.

How can all the rubbish we produce be turned into 'fuel'? I'll learn about that one with you!

I came across a new term in my weekend reading, "Plogging" the act of jogging/walking around your neighbourhood picking up litter for proper disposal.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Question:

If you qualify for NZ Superannuation and your partner doesn't qualify–because they aren't 65 yet or haven't lived in NZ for long enough–and you elect to include them in your own New Zealand Superannuation as a 'non qualified partner', what is the maximum amount of weekly income  you can collectively earn (wages or salary, interest, dividends etc) before your payments are affected as part of Work and Income income testing rules? Also, for every dollar of income earned above this weekly threshold how many cents in the dollar will Work and Income cut your payment by?

Answer:

If, between the 2 of you, you earn more than $100 a week (before tax), your New Zealand Super or Veteran's Pension will be cut by 70 cents for every dollar of income you earn over $100 (before tax).
