Rachel joined Perriam & Partners in January 2021 as a Senior Accountant and was appointed Director on 1 April 2023. Prior to joining Perriam & Partners, Rachel worked in a large accounting firm and previously spent several years in the tax compliance sector. This background has given her a strong technical foundation and broad experience across business advisory and taxation.
Rachel works closely with a wide range of clients, providing practical and commercially focused advice across diverse industries. Her areas of expertise include forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling, business valuations, and due diligence. She has a particular passion for working with professional service businesses, especially medical practices, where she assists owners with strategic planning, financial analysis, and growth decisions.
Rachel also helps clients implement and optimise cloud accounting solutions, particularly Xero, enabling businesses to gain better visibility and control over their financial performance.
Originally from South Africa, Rachel came to New Zealand on a classic OE in 2003 and quickly fell in love with the country. She now calls Canterbury home and enjoys exploring New Zealand’s outdoors with her two children.

Bachelor of Computation (Accounting)
Holder of Public Practice Certificate from ICANZ.
